Anyone for Tennis

We really enjoyed taking our A Level PE students to the Hampton Court Palace, Real Tennis court last week.

Students were able to build upon their knowledge of Popular Recreation and the growth of Tennis as a sport and learn some new skills along the way.

The court itself, is a thing of beauty! Built in 1625 for Charles I, and frequented by a keen Henry VIII, it has maintained it’s authenticity and character over the ages.

Thank you to Nick Wood, the Captain at the Royal Tennis Court for putting the students through their paces and explaining the rules to the game!

We look forward to returning next year.
