Students and staff go the extra mile for Refuge

Students and staff at London Nautical came together for a charity mile run along the Thames, raising £202 overall in support of Refuge, the UK's largest specialist provider of support for women and children experiencing domestic abuse. The event was a fantastic success, bringing the school community together for an enjoyable afternoon while making a meaningful difference. Well done to everyone who took part and supported this important initiative.

The global starts with the local

Congratulations to Alison, Head of Citizenship at London Nautical, on the publication of her article, The Global Starts with Local, in the latest issue of Navigating Uncertain Times: The Role of Citizenship Education. Alison shares inspiration from the local active citizenship projects her students have undertaken at school. She also considers what to do when the idea of "the local" feels much broader, offering practical, usable activities to help teachers bring active citizenship into their own classrooms. We are proud to see Alison's expertise and passion for citizenship education recognised through this publication.
